The Artistry of David Bruce Johnson

"Stampede" was started as a demo for a course David taught at the 2004 Western and Wildlife Carving Workshop in Crete, Nebraska.  The sculpture is a mere 14" tall but is as highly detailed as a much larger piece.  At first glance, one expects to see six-guns hanging on his belt.  On further inspection, it seems this wrangler is running either from or to something.
